Tuition and other fees
Students registering through a Pitt school:
- The most up to date information on current tuition and fees can be found on this website: https://ir.pitt.edu/undergraduate-tuition/
- All students will pay a $185 lab fee per course that will be included on your tuition bill.
- One benefit to taking a summer course at PLE is that out-of-state students pay in-state tuition rates for one course each summer! Contact the BIOSC Advising Office at bioadv@pitt.edu to recieve this benefit; include in your email: your full name, 7-digit Student ID number, local mailing address, and the course you are enrolling in.
PLE Consortium School students (PennWest, IUP, SRU):
- Contact your home instituition for details on typical tuition rates and fees.
- All students will pay a $185 lab fee per course when they arrive at PLE (cash or check only; no credit cards accepted).
Room and Board Fees (for all students)
- Students choosing to stay in residence at PLE (commuting is an option, but often not practical) will need to pay a Room and Board Fee for each course when they arrive at PLE. The rate for 2024 is $760 (cash or check only; no credit cards accepted).
- There is no need to register separately for housing. Your enrollment in a course guarantees you a bed at our lakeside housing site.
- Meals are served Monday breakfast through Friday lunch. There is no meal service on weekends, but sufficient refrigeration and cooking facilities are provided for students to cook for themselves.
