Each summer, the Pymatuning Lab of Ecology (PLE) offers an assortment of field-based undergraduate level courses to Pitt students as well as to a consortium of regional universities to serve as a source of biological field courses for the entire western PA region. While PLE is part of the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh's main campus, the PLE Educational Consortium has grown to include Pitt-Bradford, Pitt-Greensburg, Pitt-Johnstown, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
Each summer, around 150 undergraduate students come to PLE to take one or more of the many courses offered. Check out the the variety of courses PLE is offering this summer!
