Temperature effects on naturally-acquired Bd infections

Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) is a fungal pathogen that infects amphibians worldwide. Our group is investigating how environmental factors such as temperature influence Bd prevalence and infection levels. In the summer of 2020, we will specifically investigate how temperature influences Bd levels in amphibians with naturally-acquired Bd infections. This information will be useful in developing models to predict under which conditions amphibians will be most at risk of infection.
